As a law student on both a budget and a diet, I decided to indulge once a week in my love for craft beer. The result was a weekly ritual involving an in depth look into the specific beer I chose. The following are my picks for The Beer of The Week. I urge you to go out and support craft beer, both locally, nationally, and internationally. Beer of the Week 102 - 1/4/2012: Boston Beer Co. Infinium
No, this picture was not taken this past New Year’s Eve. In fact, it was taken LAST New Year’s after the ball had dropped. Since I did not drink beer this New Years, I felt it approproate to revisit this one.
The Boston Beer Co. (Sam Adams) collaborated with the “world’s oldest brewery” Weihenstephan to create a Bier de Garde, a beer that is reminiscent of champagne.
Infinium has all of the packaging and grandeur of a really nice Champagne. Unfortunately, the taste is nothing like a fne champagne. The taste on this one was quite underhelming, as was the overall experience. It was nice to get to try, but knowing what Matthew Greger paid for it, I would not revisit this one.
